My brother came home from work from his paper shredding company. I guess his boss was about to shred some Japanese peso bills, when my brother asked to take them off his hands since he didn't want them. I'm not familiar with them, but I googled around a little bit and found out they were Philippine currency when japan occupied them during WWII. is there anything else you could teach me and if there is any certain bills to look for/worth the most? thank you

Just Google "Japanese currency during the occupation of the Phillipines" and you will find a wealth of information to research including history and valuations.

They're usually called "Japanese Invasion Money". JIM for short. You can find JIM printed for various territories the Japanese occupied during the war: Burma (cents and rupees), Malaya (cents and dollars), Philippines (centavos and pesos), Indonesia (cents and gulden, in Dutch, and later roepiah in Indonesian) and Oceania (New Guinea/Solomon Islands, in shillings and pounds).

There are plenty of old threads here on the forum about them, such as this one.

The only 'valuable' ones are the specimens (the word will be printed on the back) otherwise you are only talking about a few bucks. That of course depends on condition, denomination, some varieties.
The best thing to do is post pics.
