If you had a choice on coin show seminars, what topics would you like to hear? Just curious.

Not sure what you mean. So far out of possibly many hundreds of coin shows, I've never heard of a seminar there. We have 4 coin shows a Month around me and all the ones I go to I just go in, look around, buy or don't buy something, then leave. At the bigger ones this takes me about 1 to 2 hours and never heard of a seminar there.
Interesting idea. I wonder how that would go over at the coin shows I go to.

I would love a seminar on clad varieties. How to identify? What has a chance of being the next great variety? etc.
Rest in Peace

Topics should be geared for your audience. So -- who do you expect to attend? Newbies? Investors?

Carl I thought you were in the Chicago area? Several of the shows there have seminars/educational programs. Central States and the ANA have a fair number of programs, CICF has at least two or three. There is at least one other large show there that I believe has them. I don't know if the one in the Tingsly area has any programs or not. Most large shows have at least a couple. I'm sure there will be at least two at the Michigan State Show next weekend, and when EAC has their annual show There are usually one or two programs Friday night and then seven or eight programs Saturday during the day (Video taped and made available by David Lisot.). There is also a grading and Counterfeit Detection seminar on Thursday. If you are attending a large show and you don't of any programs, you are probably not reading the show program of events. When I go to a large show I often don't make it to the bourse floor at all. I spend the entire time at programs and club meetings.

I would like to learn more about counterfeit coins. Especially how to spot them and what to look for.
