Thanks Noah, that's a good idea. I was trying to stay away from offering a grade so people wouldn't get upset if they didn't grade the same. Your listings look good and concise, to the point.

@ Noahs--I really like your shipping info. As a US buyer who has recently started searching for CA coins, your concise shippng pricing would lead me to bid on an item. I have found usually vague shipping pricing on small dollar coins from CA to the US. Good job! I'm looking to start a CA Large Cent collection. Any sellers on ebay you know of?

If I were you, I would go with these guys for average grade ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-1917...em2c69db6516Although there are plenty of people here who would tell you not to buy from them, it is just a matter of being able to see through their scratched up scans. Also, make sure that you can't see any signs of environmental damage on the coin, even the one in the picture seems to have a bit on the inside of some of the leaves. You can usually get decent prices, and I have gotten some pretty great deals from them over the past little while and have never had a bad experience. Make sure you know what you are willing to pay at least a couple of hours before its closing, and scrutinize the pictures before hand, because in the last 5 minutes, you don't want to trick yourself into thinking that the coin is actually nicer than you thought it was. Good luck! Oh yeah, and make sure not to judge the amount you pay by their grades, ALWAYS grade them for yourself.

Noah, at 44 cents shipping are you just putting the coin in a regular envelope ?

@52Raymo, I agree that a bit more positive description could be used. You are applauded (by me!) for the no BS but don't be afraid to sell the pluses of the coins as well.

Yup, I am just shipping via CanadaPost lettermail. How I calculate my shipping charges is I take $0.61 - the cost for an in Canada stamp for 2012 - and take it off the cost of shipping, so instead of these rates, Canada- $0.61, USA- $1.05, International- $1.80 I charge: Canada FREE, USA-$0.44, International- $1.19 So I really charge less than actual cost. I am considering starting to ship all of my items in bubble mailers, but I still have 350+ envelopes to use up

Have you ever had any shipping mishaps by using an envelope ? I sent Ninamason a coin one time using just a regular letter type envelope and it went through just fine. It would worry me though, I might try doing that and offer free ship.

I have never had a coin go missing or arriving to the buyer in worse condition that it was sent. The only problems I have had with buyers are sellers who have a grudge against me because I left them a neutral (Coins never arrived! What else would he expect?), or buyers who can't/chose not to read the description.

I wouldnt do it for coins worth 10-15 dollars or more though. Remember without tracking info even if the coin gets their a shady buyer can claim they never got it and ebay will side with them since you have no proof they did
