There seems (to me) to be a very extensive die-break across the obverse of this 1919 nickel.

Is this common or rare for this series, please ?

What is the mint/where is the mintmark ?
There seems to be an incuse F below the date - what does this signify ?

What grade would you assign ?

What would be a fair retail price ?

The coin belongs to an old lady, and there is a coin collector interested in buying it.

It's a lamination error, caused by improper mixing of the alloy used to make the planchet. This type of error is common in Buffalo nickels and may add a slight premium.
This is a Philadelphia coin as proven by the lack of a mintmark below Five Cents.
The F is the designer initial ( John Flanagan).
Grade is maybe VF and value might be $10-15 at a guess.
