I'm wondering if it's just me or are others having problems working with the new Photobucket Beta? As a tech person I'd call it an Alpha rather than a Beta. I retrieve my pictures for CCF by the file name and my coin albums were sorted that way. Now they are sorted 'newest first' and I can't change the order. I go through all the steps to sort by file name and click the box that says 'also sort existing albums' but it doesn't work. Has anyone had success sorting by file name? The Help files are for the old version and are not any help. I sent them a question/inquiry but doubt that I'll get a response so I just switched back to the original Photobucket. You're lucky. I can't access access any of my pictures anymore on photobucket. I can't switch back to the original version either. At this point, photobucket is now completely worthless to me. Unless they fix it soon, I will no longer be able to add pictures onto the body of my ebay listings. I guess that's the price you pay for using a free hosting website

I only use Photobucket for ebay these days, and even that only so I can put images in my standard auction template since ebay lets you use high-res pics on their site now. For everything else - transitory images - I use either my Gallery here or Imgur.

I hate the new version of Photobucket! I can't see a way to switch it back?

This was the form response I got when I sent all my complaints ( a loooooong list) for all the good it does... Leslie (Photobucket Customer Support Home) Nov 16 02:49 pm (MST) Thank you for taking the time to test out the new Photobucket, we appreciate your feedback. We understand how a complete redesign can take some getting used to. We are taking all user feedback and ideas into consideration, and will continue to make changes to improve the site. We will be updating the site as new features and functions are ready, so keep an eye out for new things to come. If you want to opt out of the new Photobucket, simply click on the "Switch back to the original Photobucket" link under your username at the top of your Photobucket page. Please note that the original version of Photobucket will only be available for another 1-2 months. If at anytime you want to get back to the new site, simply click the try it now button on this page: http://photobucket.com/betaoptin/index?src=supportThank you!

How did you contact photobucket? When I went to the photobucket contact page http://photobucket.com/contact, I get this: We're sorry, we cannot find the page you requested. Please check the URL for correct spelling and capitalization. We thank you for your patience. If you have any questions, please visit us at photobucket.com or contact your Photobucket team. We are here to help.

On the right side of the screen is a black tab that says feedback. I used that.

I see that "switch back" link now. If the old version will only be around another month or two I may as well stay with the new one.

I didn't like the new one because the way they display the photos, you can't usually see the dates on the coin in the picture in the thumbnails. I found that annoying and am on the original for now. I might have to switch to shutterfly

I had to revert back to the old one. You couldn't drag the pictures around with the organize function. That worked fine in the old version. I did get a response, which wasn't what I was looking for, so I'll respond back to them. The new version looks OK, but it is buggy.

I've been browsing other forums and reading more about problems with the Beta. 1. Some users are having major issues and it seems that most are using Internet Explorer. I'm using Firefox 16 and am only having issues sorting the album. Users who have Chrome are mostly reporting minor buggy stuff like the Firefox users. 2. Photobucket has posted information saying that some of the changes are to prevent 'fusking' (Couldn't they have come up with a better word?) File names in the past were often in numerical sequence. That's not a problem in a public album but someone can easily guess the file names in your private album based on your public album file names. The new approach is to scramble the file names.

I left feedback and switched back to the old one. I noticed that some files I uploaded didn't go into the folder I was looking at. Too buggy for me.

Photobucket finally fixed my webpage. Unfortunately, the new beta has rotated most of my photos. I advised photobucket of this major problem. I switched back to the original, but, that just buys me a month or two. I guess I'll go back to using wsftp or shutterfly
