These are just the sort of coins I like. I'm still in the early stages of collecting and have a long way to go. But I have a few already from these periods. How do you manage to get such good pics. I have a half decent camera but find it quite difficult to get a decent shot with some coins. Maybe you could email me with a few tips, save clogging up the airwaves here as this forum is more for coins.

Those are really top drawer coins - and don't worry about clogging up the airwaves about photography. I'd also like to know your set up for taking these great pictures.

There are some good tips on this forum here: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...?FORUM_ID=81My camera is a basic digital compact Canon Ixus 130 I take the pics in daylight, with the flash off, with a small £5 tripod, with the coin on books and coasters until it is as close to the lense as possible without blurring, on a mid colour plain background. Maximum quality setting (mine is 4320 X 3240 (14m)) in macro mode (this is crucial). I then crop the pics in paint.net and adjust the brightness and contrast in this software if I think it needs it. My photos were rubbish at first but I persevered, some people prefer scans. The 1705 is the seller's picture by the way!

I find one problem in taking pictures of this quality is that it shows up every little things you'd never noticed before, well at least it does on the stuff I buy lol.
The Edward shilling is stunning btw.
