All,

I am very new to collecting, and trying to identify true error coins, worthy of retaining. I have a couple pictures, if you can review and offer some guidance it would greatly be appreciated.

2009 Lincoln Cent:

I have not seen anything posted about this, but it looked interesting to me, first the bark is missing under Lincoln sitting on the log, in addition, a die crack (I think) on the "O":

1988 Dime:

triple counter clashes on the reverse?

1973 Lincoln Cent Reverse Columns filled in?

Any and all thoughts welcomed - I trying to become more educated in good quality errors, and general knowledge to be honest.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Im educated a little on this. You definitely have something in that dime, the others I'll let experts weigh in on.

to CCF fellow Michigander. The 2009 is a die chip. The bark is over polishing of the die, common. The 1973 is very common, not sure what causes it,maybe some form of a die clash? The dime looks very interesting, die clash(s) of some sort?

It would be interesting to see a full reverse of the dime and only get as close as you can with the pic still in focus...

It looks like a die clash at the top but the flame (red arrow)looks to be over the clash which doesn't make sense

The blue arrow is probably a strike through something that was on the blank...or just a reflection..also areas of fullness at 11 and 8 o'clock that again could just be reflections or goobers on the blank

Difficult images (lots of misleading reflections) but interesting coin

First thank you everyone for your thoughts. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get a better picture of the dime, however, it looks almost exactly like the pictured in Strike it Rich with pocket change, page 181, both obverse and reverse sides.

1973 cent reverse was overpolished.
