Smackdown XXV, helmet
Show us a coin with a helmet.
The other rules are as follows: 1) At most two (2) entries per member. 2) Voting: Vote for three in order of preference, Gold (3 pts), Silver (2 pts), Bronze (1 pt). 6 bonus points if you have never posted a coin to a Smackdown before (Tell us.) 6 bonus points for a entry by a female member (Tell us.) 3 bonus points for an entry by any member with Coin Community family "Number of posts" under 100. 3) Host computes the vote totals and announces the winner. Winner chooses next Smackdown subject and is the next host (However, he or she may choose to pass the honor to someone else). 4) You do not have to enter a coin to vote but please do try to enter something. 5) Number of golds will be the first tie breaker. If two coins have the same score and the same number of golds it will be the host's choice. 6) Enjoy.
Entries are accepted from now until Saturday, November 24, 11:00 pm Eastern time. Voting will last two days until Monday Nov. 26 at 11:00 pm Eastern time

I was going to add two common coins but I wasn't able to take good pictures because the coins have a dark patina. Maybe with better sun light tomorrow.

Some spectacular coins have been entered. However, as early entries I am bit concerned they will discourage other entires. For the rest of you, please show us your helmet coins anyway. I hope you don't think this is about winning a contest. I'd like to think it is about participating in this wonderful and friendly group and showing US coins whether or not they have a chance of getting votes. You can be proud you have a coin that fits a category selected by someone else, so show us your helmets!

Constantinopolis Commemorative AE3/4. 334-335 AD. CONSTANTINOPOLIS, laureate, helmeted & mantled bust left holding sceptre / Victory standing left on foot of prow with sceptre and leaning on shield, •BSIS• in ex. RIC VII Siscia 241 RIC VIII Trier 66 Quote: However, as early entries I am bit concerned they will discourage other entires. Sometimes it's discouraging. Not that I want to win because I knew I wouldn't. But what was discouraging to me is that I only had one coin voted for once out of all of my coins. Kind of tells you what kind of coins other people think you have. And others that are very very nice and completely outclass everything else.
