It looks to me like a well struck EF-40 coin with some nice toning on the obverse. (I bet there's some color in that toning if you light it right...) Congratulations!

Looks nice. How much (ballpark) did you spend? I may get smacked for this but looks like a AU55 to me, flirting with 58 (confession: this is my first try in guessing on the forum, so if I just whizzed you off, I apologize...trying to learn!)

Guys I bought this coin for 32 bucks from a "Buy gold here" place. My local shop says xf45 possible details for an old cleaning.
The colors on the obverse are more dynamic than my sorry picture taking skills can show.

Looks like EF-45 to me and I don't see any hairlines or obvious problems. Seems like a nice one!

The sad part is someone probably sold an inherited collection and only got melt for this coin...

Very nice, slight wear on the obverse so I'll guess a XF45. Not seeing apparent cleaning from the photos. You should be thrilled with the price you were able to purchase it for. Congrats!

Quote:The sad part is someone probably sold an inherited collection and only got melt for this coin... There are worse scenarios. For instance, not everything that finds its way into such an establishment is acquired honestly, if you know what I mean...

I would say an XF-ish coin. Great deal whether it has original surfaces or been cleaned.
