Oh, hello.

Spectacular coin. Unfortunate fingerprint, but if this isn't 65 I'll be forced to consider counseling the relevant TPG with a baseball bat. 66 wouldn't surprise me.

Still working on an attribution; I wanted to post as soon as possible. 1899-O's are known for silly die cracking, but this one should be unique-enough to nail it if there are photos extant.

Thank you for posting this.

Wow! I'll say MS-65 only due to the fingerprint. Spectacular coin

I'd say easy 65 with a shot at a 66. A beauty!

Yep I agree with a solid 65 grade.

SsuperDdave, get your louisville slugger out...

Thanks everyone. I wanted to hear your thoughts on this because I was told that this would be a good candidate for cracking open and resubmitting. Sounds like I would definitely get a bump in the grade...

I'm always slow to get online these days, but my first impression is...VAM 11A....OOOPP'S yea the grade....Definately in the MS65 grade...I own this one in PGCS MS65 and I think this is in the same calibur...This coin is a later die state....
Note your coin has a addition die break from the "D" in united
to the rim.....Note also this additional, difference,, from photo's I can't see in hand to observe other differences which could or not approve of an additional VAM designation........but the finger print may have been the failing point for the grade..?...Nice coin....
