Hi everyone, Your forum seems friendly and active so I thought I would ask for your expertise to identify this coin. I have had it for longer than I can remember but can't find any info about it or the symbols on it. It is about the size of a quarter and is very thin. A magnet does not stick to it. Any ideas?
The pictures are a little small to be certain, but I believe it's a liard from the Bishopric of Liege, in what is now Belgium. Similar to the one in this thread. You should be able to read a date; four numerals in the corners of the cross made by the four shields.

Oh, my gosh! You nailed it. I have wondered for a few decades about this coin and you cleared things up in minutes. I knew one thing - if I owned this coin, it probably wasn't worth much, LOL!!
