If they were that price, when first issued, I may have got a set. But with the high initial price, I'm no longer interested. (if it came down another hundred... I'd think again! ;) )

Not interested at any price above bullion. I personally don't think the mint should be doing something so blatantly commercial as partnering with a major film franchise, but I am not their target audience.

Even if the coins were actual strikes, instead of what looks like stickers, maybe I would at least find them humorous. TO each his own. A price drop on a mint product is always* good news.

Same here, I quickly deleted the email. I really do not like to see these coins, but I'm sure the kids love em.
Rest in Peace

Yeah, but at that price - not for kids.
if they were like the 'medals' that they did a few years ago for Harry Potter and Shrek - Yup - those were for the kids, and I bought them specifically for the kids. Anything over $30, I would never consider for the kids.

My own 12 year old got one of the "Christmas sets". About a month after Christmas, I found all the packaging in the trash, and the coins - well all but the special quarter - were spent. (We had a long discussion about 'collecting' that night)

I really like this set (I am a huge Star Wars geek), but even at this price I would have tosay NO! When I was last in Ottawa at the RCM, I saw them in person. Nice looking set, but AMAZING packaging. I think that is a large portion of the price. The boxes make star wars sounds when they are openned.

BTW for those that don't know, these were from the NZ mint, not RCM.
