This year I'm thinking of changing up by gift to my son.

I usually give 5 ASE but was thinking of switching to a 1/10 oz AGE. They are roughly in the same ball park cost wise, but I think if I give him the ASE's he'll have enough to fill out a tube. If that's case I may just get him the ASE and start with the AGE next year.

On the other hand I was thinking of giving him a selection of Libetad, Philamonka, New Zealand Taku, Maple Leaf, and another unnamed silver coin.

Then again a couple of Morgans minted in the birth years of his Grandparents.

My wife is no help she says whatever you think.

So I have 3 or 4 choices and each has their merits and I think they all have the same monetary value.

I think the gold option or the selection of different ones would be best...

If he hasn't much in the way of gold it will be something special for him, on the other hand if you think he would prefer silver the selection of different types is a little more exciting and stimulating than recieving all the same kind of coin.

My personal choice would be the gold, pressumably it would be a little much for him to lay out for on his own and therefore it will take pride of place in his collection.

I like the Morgans in his Grandparents idea. We save all types of coins in family birth years.
