@ SsuperDdave,

Each time I read your comment

"The best thing about a bicycle is that it uses no gasoline, therefore the chance of fiery death is greatly reduced."

It reminds me of the old B&W Movies where Planes runs out of fuel and always EXPLODE on a mountain side... They fooled me for years before I asked myself how can a plane with no fuel explode on contact [god I was a dumb kid☺].

Maybe fumes from the fuel left in the tank? Just wondering.

1. They crash into a home with a propane tank outside.
2. They crash into a car with a full tank of gas.
3. They crash into a gas station.
4. The planes gargo was gas.
5. The people inside were full of gas.
6. They crash into the trailer full of people that wrote that story.

Don't bother. Just send him a bonus check for more money.

Not sure about airplane/jet fuel, but the fuel in your car, the fumes are more explosive than the liquid.

All Aviation Gas is horribly explosive. That being said, I dont think an empty tank full of fumes would be quite so...spectacular.

Wait, my bike was once in the vicinity of gas, will that explode too if I crash it into a mountain side?

Your more likely to explode if you just ate beans, eggs, onions and passed by someone that just lite a cigarett.
