Does anyone know how many coins in each year?
From mint's web:
"The following coins are being made available to the public:

Premium Hand-Selected 6-Coin Set (140 sets - $12,000 each)
Premium Hand-Selected 1912, 1913 and 1914 $5 single gold coins (291 coins - $875 each)
Premium Hand-Selected 1913 and 1914 $10 single gold coins (4,869 coins - $1,750 each)
Hand-Selected 1912, 1913 and 1914 $5 single gold coins (5,050 coins - $500 each)
Hand-Selected 1912, 1913 and 1914 $10 single gold coins (18,950 coins - $1,000 each)"
And djupsilon posted "around 6000 of the 1913 for sale and 10000 of the 1914 $10 hand select", so does that mean the number of 1912 $10 hand select is 18950-6000-10000=2950?
Can anyone help me here?
Thanks!

Regarding the pictures posted by royalsilver, I think those coins may be AU 55, which would be above bullion value. The design is sharp with no wear, especially the front of the coin. The coin has good luster. The marks next the monarch is not that bad when seen with the naked eye. There is no chipping on the edge of the coins. I would be happen to get a coin tthat look that good.

Those of you familiar with the US Treasury releasing its silver stockpile back in the 80s..... and those Morgan dollar.... Now look back at those GSA Morgan dollars, they are ALL money winner because of rarity/collectibility; on the other hand, those GSA IKE 40% only increase value, because of silver. What is the major different? Public interest!

The value appreciation of these coins will mainly depend on how the public react to this event and how the series is being collect in the next 10-20yrs. Just my opinion.

It's too bad that those two ebay auctions for 3 of each of the $5 and $10 didn't start at what he paid for them. We would then be seeing a nice volley of the 'auction process' and possibly a more realistic value established in the secondary market.

To post $3000 worth of coins right up to $5,500 as a starting price, while some of them are still available at $1,000 at the mint - well, weird. (ditto for the 3 x $5's)

This is nothing new (I don't pay taxes on any of the coins I purchase from the RCM). From that perspective my 'cost' for the same coin is less than someone living in Canada. I think this is what slaterx2 was trying to say. In a global economy and with eCommerce, taxation becomes a lot more complicated...

Something odd about this auction, the seller claims Certification by NGC with a grade of MS 70. How can that be since the coins have not yet been shipped?

What someone "asks" on ebay means absolutely nothing! Multiple Completed listings are the only indicator.
