@tripoli,
Thanks for your offer but I am looking for a Mint issued coin. I believe they will be more valuable than the graded coins. Graded coins are widely available in coin shops like J&M coins. I can get a ms-60 coin for $600 at J&M coins. Remember there were only 5000 $5 hand picked coins. Way less than what is currently in collector or dealer hands.

Does anyone have any idea what quantities of each are currently available in the marketplace PRIOR to the release of these coins?

There were a lot of educated guesses in earlier pages.

It's amazing that after more than 2 months, there is still steady traffic on here with lots of insight added to these coins

How much did the RCM charge for the $5 hand selected and premium hand selected coins. The first coins I have seen posted are nice coins, but definitely not high grade MS. IMO

Just got my coin today! It's gorgeous. Definitely, a MS-60+. Not much scratches or bag marks at all on both reverse and obverse. Could score MS-62+

Hi Coin Chick,
Yes, hand selected.
Fed_Ink85, yes, it's amazing that something in your hands is 101 years old and has history...

I couldn't afford buying one of these this time. I see that the coin is secured by black foam in a capsule. Is this the same black foam that tames the beaver?
BTW, the coin is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the picture!
