When these coins were first being sold on Nov 28, 2012 many people were saying that these would be worth not much more than bullion.
What is the consenses now?
Have any thoughts changed or is it still too early in the game to determine?

My coin is worth than BV.
It might be worth slightly more than I paid for it.
Maybe enough to cover the sales tax, too.

It happens all the time for the new release coins. The Penny set for example.

Some ordered right way, some sit on the fence.

When it turns hot some are regret.

As long as I like the coins, I will order it. I do not think if it raises up value or not.

Enjoy my collection is the main purpose for collecting coins. Not investment.

Ya the Mint told me that Hand Selected coins would have the silver hologram and the Premiums would have a gold hologram... that even stops them from being switched between cases. I am still trying to decide if I want a 1913 $10 and 1914 $10... I bought a few of the others, but I wasn't planning on keeping any... now I want to put a complete set together for myself.

Not only to prevent them from swapping between cases but to ensure people don't swap the coins with inferior coins that they already own. ie. taking the coin from the capsule and putting in a coin that have defects and selling on ebay claiming it came from the mint.

I have a $5 from several years back, and was considering getting a 10 from this, ah, hoarde... but explain to me this hologram thing, or better yet, post a picture of said hologram. It's not on the coin is it?... is it on the coin? no, eh?

It's on the capsule so if you have a capsule with the hologram in place, you can be assured the coin is part of the 'hoard'.

That is why I believe there will be a premium for the Mint coins over comparable graded ones. From the ones I seem they all above ms-60. Unless the coin is extremely high grade, I would not get it graded. Taking it out of the capsule may devalue the coin.

These ones also come with a COA (but the COA is not numbered)... and too be honest I haven't read the document, but I'm assuming it discusses how the pedigree/historical significance of these coins which obviously have a unique history compared to the ones which were already in existence.

its still to early for a real market trend for value untill most of the coins are shipped, but there is a reason why the 10.00 are not sold out yet.

It seems fair to say the HS coins we saw so far met many people's (high) expectation, and some mentioned they could be MS60 or 62... So what is the new expectation for the Premium HS coins? MS68? Would there be visible difference between HS and Premium HS coins? If so, in what ways? I can't wait to see what Premium HS coins look like.

There's a 1912 $10 ICCS graded ef40 for $1400 as well as a 1914 $5, graded ms60, also $1400.

Dear forum members, as I told previously - searched for additional $5 Gold 1912-1914 from the mint. But now I see, that some of the $10 available.

Can someone tell, why the 1913 and 1914 HS $10 still available from the Mint (for $1000). What could be "wrong" with this coins? Mintage? Grade?
May be still worth to buy it instead of searching overpriced $5?
