What to look for when searching coin rolls: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/c...g-terms.htmlI found this thread on TreasureNet awhile back. I should have posted it sooner. It gives almost everything a new coin roll hunter might need to know. Hope this is OK mods. Could we possibly make this sticky so new searchers will see it? Rachums107

I'm just really curious as to why there have been no replies. So many new roll hunters come on the forum and there's always a new thread to help them understand how many rolls of pennies are in a box, etc. Is there something wrong with this link? I thought it would be a great help, and if anyone had questions we could refer them to this link.

Not sure my friend, but that is an excellent link, and also one that I use to refer newbs to while I'm on that forum.

Thanks for the really interesting link. I just may stop by the bank tomorrow and see what they have in the way of half rolls, or maybe nickel rolls.

The typos and grammar errors are annoying to me, but other than that, it's a great reference. Thanks for sharing!

Well I didn't write it, but I think it saves time for newbies.

Thanks for the link. Lots of great advice. I do have a question though. Does anyone have a list of things to look for post wheaties, silver, etc. I got my first box of pennies and half dollars, and I'm curious what other stuff to look for besides the obvious of silver and wheaties.
All help is greatly appreciated.

Just picked up my first boxes of dimes and nickels, I've also got a box of half dollars on order from my local bank.
I haven't opened them up yet, the nickels look promising with mixed dates on the outside. The dime rolls on the other hand are all 2012 d's.
Should I even bother opening the dimes?
Thanks
p.s. I'm more interested in silver

Should I even bother opening the dimes? Personally, I would not. They are easy to sell back to the bank if the rolls aren't broken open. Next time, check the coins through the inspection holes in the box (if available), and ask to swap that box with one that contains circulated coin only, from bank inventory.

I'm not a coin roll hunter, but that was a very informative link.
Thank you.
