Not sure if this is the right place.
But I have a book which shows the weight and size of English coins back to 1816.
I wonder if there is a book out there that gives these details further back than 1816.
Thanks.

The Krause catalogues will, but they're a bit of overkill if all you want are English/British coins. They're also not always helpful for weights of base-metal coins.

The pics in the Spink catalogue are to scale so should be reliable for size.

The information's also out there on the Web. Looking up each denomination in Wikipedia, for example, should give you weights and sizes for each incarnation of that denomination. British pennies from 1714 to 1901, for example, can be found here.

Thanks for the info.
It was actually a book I was looking for. One that I can carry around.
The reason being that when I buy at fairs etc, and I'm not too sure of a coin, I can always weigh it and check the book at the fair. And hopefully not buy a fake.
But I will definately take a look at Coins of England and Great Britain.
