OK, I know this is way way way off topic but I only now discoverd this little video of Rick Mercer visiting the Royal Canadian Mint. As the video is dated 2008, I am certain some if not most of you have already seen this gem.

If you haven't, its worth the 7 minuets of your life.

I guess I should have posted it on this forum too. The Refinery Vault shown at about 1:15 is the location for today's photo op and announcement of the sale of 1912-194 gold coins.


Mildly interesting fun fact: I play hockey with the guy who dropped the gold in the video.

Not at all. There is a hallway above where the action takes place with windows so that you can see what they are doing as a guide explains the process. You don't get to go anywhere near the operations.
