A buddy o mine who I guess found it in a drawer he said?
I told him it was silver, but he was happy he got over face value for it...so I was happy too. :)
I asked him to let me know if he finds anymore...

so what is the percentage of times face is it now people should go by? 20x face 25x or what? I think the last time I heard it was somewhere around 10x face

Current market value makes that Franklin worth $12.18. 1218/50 = 25.6, so yeah, 25x seems about reasonable these days.

Nice! You never know, you getting a Great deal and him getting ripped-off just might make a coin collector/hoarder out of him. I once knew a guy who found a silver dime in change and sold it to a friend of mine for 25c (right after he found it)... The second he found out that the dime was worth more than a dollar.... He started collecting/ hoarding silver coins for himself. Very nice deal and Congrats.
