Those two coins showed up a couple years ago. I get lots of circulated proof likes but tend to only keep the dates none were issued for circulation.

I found a proof 1988 or 1989 nickel in circulation once. Kids crack open sets that are given to them as gifts, or they steal their parents and cut them out.

Notice how the brilliant finish is worn from circulation. I have had a 1993 and 2003 with the same wear. Really dull fields really bright all around.

This reminds me, I found a lightly circulated nickel while CRH a while back that I'm pretty sure is a PL. Now I just need to remember to take photos and post here.

Here is a PL 1996. Just got it. Don't plan on keeping it.

More heavily circulated than I remembered. Still, I'm pretty sure it's PL because of the mirror fields. A business strike with the same wear would appear to have much less contrast than this piece.

My sister cracked open the 1997 oh Canada set with the flying loonie and spent it at the high school cafeteria.

I wanted to kill her when I found out. I went and talked to the lunch ladies but the coin was gone.

The two coins in the original post have more views than any auction item I have sold to date. Thanks Noah for getting the word out.

Quite a coincidence I found that 1996 pl Loonie the next day. Unmistakable wear to the pl loonies.
