Hey all, new to the forums here. I recently have gotten into coin collecting. Looking over my change jar I have been saving for awhile I stumbled upon this quarter. It looks like it was stamped wrong or something and the outside on both sides have like a sloped look. I'm not sure if this is an error and if it has any extra value? I have included multiple images. Please Coin Masters teach me your ways! :P

you came to the right place.
Unfortanetly this isn't a mint error, also.known as PMD (Post mint damage). I find these often.while.coin roll hunting. Found a dime like.that today. I'm not sure what causes it but it has no extra value. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure its PMD. Nothing in the minting process would cause it that I know of.

I think that can happen when they get stuck in a rolling machine. Not positive though.

COULD be caused by wear, as well.

Welcome.

This is what I call a Dryer Coin. I worked on dryers when I was younger and found several of them. They get stuck between the drum and the back wall of the dryer and wears the coin in this fashion.
