I took it in to coin shop on Hawthorne Blvd in SE Portland, it weighs the exact same as a Presidential dollar and is a genuine blank planchet.

A year and a half later?

They took out a regular presidential coin and weighted them both out to be 8.1 ounces.

I hope that's a simple typo and you mean 8.1 GRAMS. If it's 8.1 OUNCES it's fake. And if the LCS doesn't know the difference between the two, well, be REALLY REALLY careful about buying or selling silver...

Yep, I let it sit on my shelf for that long. I live right by the coin shop so I decided to just stop by while going out with the lady.

8.1 ounces would be one hilariously heavy coin! Yeah, grams.

Sort of off topic, raymo, what part of Oregon are you from? I'm in north Portland. Are there any local graders or authenticators ?

Hiya Scholz......I'm down around Eugene. One coin shop that I know of. Don't know any graders but I'm sure a coin shop would help.

I might get it graded by a TPG and hold onto it. They can be valuable
