JH,
I haven't seen these coins for sale on ebay, though I was not looking for them. So may be they were listed sometime in the past. I'm sure that I'll not sell dog as it is my year, but I'm undecided on tigers. It is my daughter's year, but fingerspots on one of the coins make me think either keep them or sell. I like COA there: 98TS0016. As of card there were 12 oz silver lunars as well (minted by Valcambi Sa)

My 2014 ASE Silver Proof SHOULD have arrived today, but alas, here in southern Alabama, 2 inches of ice and snow stops even the U.S. Post Office.

So, for consolation, I ordered two Maple Leafs and two Koala's along with the three roll pack (P&D&S) of ATB Smoky Mountain quarters that were released today.

B,

Just as you probably figured, you're stuck with the fingerprints. There is just no way, short of sending a coin out for expert cleaning, (and I don't know if that would even work) that will remove FPs from a mirror-surface, proof finish w/out causing more harm. Try it and you'll only mar the surface and leave tiny, but very noticeable scratches behind. Why anyone would purposely touch a proof without a glove, or really take it out of a case at all, is beyond me.

2 Peace dollars, one of which was mostly so dark it looked like it was covered in motor oil, except for a strip across the middle (probably had been covered with tape) I cleaned it with baking soda and hot water on top of aluminum foil and WOW it looks great, MS or certainly at least AU55

In the last 3 weeks, Have added (1) Morgan, (2) Peace, (1) 40% Ike, (2) Eagles, (2) 2001 Indian Buffalo Dollar, some Error ikes (railroad, toned, etc.) I keep the silver, & sell the errors. Selling on ebay is working out well, so far.

Denco7,

One coin is a 2001 "Commemorative." The one with the mirror finish. The other is a 2001 dollar.

In the first post, truth is, I just could not spell "Commemorative"

Please, you tell me. Is that one a proof?

I was able to acquire them at a give away price. I guess it was the luck of the Irish.

But, I would rather be lucky than........
