I would say AU details on both. There is a good sized rim bump, scratches and rub on the 1880-S, the 1897 looks like it was cleaned with baking soda. Probably worth $34-36 each.

This old guy was in his 70;s and his other coins weren't cleaned.. but you never know

that last one is definitely polished or something on both sides (maybe years ago) because you do not get shiny devices like in the hair unless something like this was done to the coin, the first one has what looks like hairlines on the Obverse (you can especially see it behind the hair and cap) but I don't see any on the Reverse so to be safe you could say the Obverse was wiped at one time
