What causes that streaking? A subtle difference in the alloy?

Grading opinions appreciated.

And what is that deformity in the center of the reverse? Seems like I read a description of that recently but I'm on information overload right now.
Rest in Peace

I am not certain so wait for the experts ....

But I think you might have a clash there.

However it could be PMD...I'm not sure. It is possible that the coin got damaged by another coin and a whole lot of weight.

The streaks are caused by less than perfect metal (improperly mixed alloys? I think) and they're commonly called woodies because the streaks look like wood grain.

I'll be back to see what others have to say.

Well.. It needs some care to get rid of the vertigis... and it is a Woodie, caused by improperly mixed alloys

I would grade this AU50, not choice due to environmental issues, probably AU55 details.
