Can you get larger pictures? Would certainly help the experts in determining the grade and ultimately the value. Also, this is the best part of the forum to post this question in, and not the other sections.

I will try to get a larger picture. Do you know about how much these go for?

I don't know much about paper currency but I wouldn't get your hopes up. This bill is well-circulated and I doubt it is worth much more than face value. I suggest you try to find a local coin shop that also deals with currency and ask them to make an offer. Even better, attend a show so you can ask several dealers. You can then quickly learn whether your bill has any special value.

Hey, it's always worth at least $100.

I actually do not have the bill. My friend got it at the bank and offered it to me for face plus insured shipping- which is $106 total. Would that be a good deal?

It would be worth the $6 premium just to have a cool example of an obsolete $100 bill. It might be worth a bit more than that but you would have to shop it around to see what someone would be willing to pay. Sounds like an opportunity; I'd go for it!
