Hi everyone, A few weeks ago I posted about a collection of U.S. coins and notes I was going to look at and maybe purchase. Well it took about 5 hours going through everything but, I bought the collection that night. The oldest coin was a 1794 and 1795 Large Cents and the newest item was a 1964 proof set. Also contained some Large size U.S. notes and a huge pile of foreign bills. A true old time collection. The biggest disappointment of the collection was that it contained very few halves and no silver dollars. The man I bought it from also thought his grandfather had some gold in his collection, but he couldn't find it. I began with photos of Classic Commems with a new camera I bought but when I tried to post pics they came out all messed up, that was a couple weeks ago. Hopefully now I can get some pictures posted and get some opinions on grades. Sometimes I think I overgrade things and pay too good of prices. Of course when you pay decent prices for things people come out of the woodwork to sell you stuff, and sometimes you get a chance to purchase some rare coins. I have another collection I get too look at tomorrow, just through word-of-mouth. Give me some time and maybe I can get some pictures up tonight. Thanks for reading. David

If you're not careful, you're going to wake up one day and discover you're a dealer.

Awesome David! I've got similar issues, especially when I tell people that if they have any silver coinage they want to sell, let me know first. So far it's been pretty fruitful.

Congratulations, David. Lots of history to go through in that collection.
