I know, I for one am a little overwelmed by coin releases this year (2012) but reports on that other forum show what's coming soon....

2013 uncirculated set
Teal (duck) specimen set
BU. and Proof Dollar 100 years since the Canadian Arctic Expedition
Proof set with gold plating on the dollar
a Jacques Cartier gold coin
1/25 oz Gold Coin, Joanassie Nowkawalk's Owl Shaman holding Goose. Mintage 10,000
Next in the Go7 coin
Next in the coat of arms series
The O Canada subscription coins
Born in 2013 coin, same baby feet image

I'm sure details will be coming soon enough.

With the possible exception of the baby coin and Cartier gold, these are all continuations of series. The specimen, proof and uncirculated sets as well as silver dollars are staples of NCLT coin collecting. They have to be issued every year for collectors.

For those bored or not interest...why bother posting? Simply spam unless you offer an opinion or commentary.

I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting and innovative stuff in 2013.

I'm hooked on the staples....I'm sure the specimen teal dollar will be nice.

Is it official that none of the sets include the one cent? That seemed to be what the RCM indicates when I get their emails promoting the remaining 2012 sets.

@CC-Ottawa: Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if the Proof Set with the gold-plated dollar will be another "Fine Silver Set" like last year's $225 set or if it will return to a standard base metal set for about $115 like in years past?

I agree with CC-Ottawa, the January issues each year are the annual releases for several ongoing series. For me, as a commemorative silver dollar collector, it is actually the release that I look forward to more than any other! I guess you could say that, to me, the upcoming release features plenty of "neat stuff"!

@northern... if it is the same forum that I am thinking of, it is page 862 but not much more information than what cc-ottawa post here. In fact, cc-ottawa have more information in this thread that over there.

Go7 for me, I have the box so I'll get everyone of them.
I wasn't really sure before I saw the actual coins, but I love this serie.

If not, nothing more for me on this release... next dino for sure and maybe glass bee as well.
