1952 Steel Wheat. - Coin Community Forum

Johntf26 Valued Member United States 80 Posts	Posted 12/07/2012 11:57 pm I found an old hoard of wheat pennies a while back. There was a 1952 steel type penny included in the mix. I do cleanouts on abandoned and foreclosed homes.. IT was an older couples home I found it in. The penny looks legit. Its sticks to a magnet somewhat too. Key word is "somewhat" A nickel plating will cause any coin to "somewhat" stick to a magnet. The heavier the plating the better it will stick.
