All clipped coins MUST have some degree of flow lines occuring & radiating outward. Take that 15X loop ... tell us what you see ... the radial lines being on the edges of the clipped areas ...

The devices closest to the "clips" look complete and intact, nothing flowing to the clips.Smart idea to fake a clipped planchet by using opposing clips.

I've been studying clipped planchets and I'm not sure how it would flow with opposing clips. The inside of the clips are smooth on one edge and then torn as it should be. I do see some flow on one side but the other side not so much but I looked at genuine double opposing clips and they looked identical. I don't know. I do know I'm done trying to figure it out for today. Thanks everyone.

I see fadeout and taper of the design rim next to the clip. That is a sign of authenticity.

The taper of the rim is much easier to alter than weakening the devices near the clip - of which I see no evidence. Although the tapering is there, I still think this coin is very questionable.

You're not always going to get obvious metal flow in the design elements bordering the clip. It's sometimes only detectable under high magnification.
