So, this seems like the right place to post this. Today I saw a series 1929 Philadelphia Pa $20 tan or red or orange (not sure what color it is considered) seal, heavy circulation, but the one thing that caught my eye was that its serial # was D0000128A what is this worth? Topic split off and moved to US Paper Money forum - Sap

Youre probably much better off asking in the US notes section.

Quote: Youre probably much better off asking in the US notes section. Done. As for the note, it's either a red seal (which should say "United States Note" at the top) or brown seal ("National Currency"). But either way, I'd agree that 0000128 qualifies as a "low number".

That is a low SN but being "heavily circulated" is going to keep any value kinda low. Can you post pics? John1

Well considering that it is a 1929 it has to be a national making the seal brown and the serial number not to low because you can find nationals with low serials very abundantly and if its from Philadelphia which the notes are not very rare but post some pics it's still going to be worth face :)

Wow what a coincidence I just went to my coin shop and they had some Philadelphia notes they had the $5, $10, $20 so I bought them but they were at a great price so I couldn't resist. I also bought a AU 1928 $2 and a 1874 $.25 in unbelievable shape and all at a unbelievable price!!!

Cool! I like old notes, but I am anything but knowledgeable when it come to paper money.
Mine is in very heavily circulated condition (i.e, small tears, some folds, wear, pen, etc.)

It is like your $20. No, I did not buy it, I did not think it was a good enough deal. I would likely end up re-selling it anyways. It is in really really bad condition. Is there a paper money grading guide?
