today I sorted the wifes change jar(and replaced what I took) And found these:

1946 with "lines" on both sides

Is this a small date? I really can't tell by looking at it.

Nice finds!

The dine is an off-center strike only if BOTH sides are off, if just the obverse is off, then it's a misaligned die (MAD). MAD dimes are fairly common but I keep them because I keep everything. Yours is pretty easy to see so while it may have no premium value it is cool.

Hope the counter bag has some goodies!

I can't tell from the photos what the lines on the '46 are.

If it looks like wood grain, it's a woody. You can find examples on this site if you do a search and an explanation in the glossary under wood grain.

Good idea for the 70-S questions.
Take a pic. of the date upside down.
Much easier to tell that way.
