Hi the following coin has always confused me, I have never worked out what it actually is, it also has a thing aroundit that allows it to spin inside, it sort of looks like it might have been a necklace or something, just hoping you guys could help me identify it and tell me if the thing around it ruins its value if it has any.

the coin looks like a Queen Victoria Shilling from Great Britain, but your pictures are too dark and too small for me to guess any more info.

Using my handy guide for telling the difference between 1887 shillings and sixpences when no scale is given, I'd say this is a shilling.

Or it was a shilling, anyway. To make it spin around inside a bezel, I'd assume the coin would have to have been drilled into and a couple of pins inserted into the holes.

The three hallmarks stamped onto the bezel, visible in the lower photograph just above right of the queen's portrait, would tell you when and where the bezel was made.
