They always attended the Torex coin shows but have been absent for the last three shows I believe.

They do not answer their messages.

Any info would be helpful.

I realize that this is an older thread, but for those of you who dealt with Doug Robins, or knew him personally, the news was shared at Coin Expo that Doug has recently passed away.

Nearly six months ago, Jim and I visited Doug a Rita. We spent two
weeks with them, and I learned a lot. Doug had a encyclopedic knowledge
of numismatics in addition to an instant recall of times, names, and places.
I regret not having spent more time with him, but I do treasure what time
we shared. The numismatic community has lost a legendary member. Doug was
a tremendous mentor and friend.

I owe a lot to Doug from my early days as a dealer. Always fair and ready to share his knowledge. We talked on the phone a few times in the last months . He will be missed . A true giant in Canadian Numismatics. Rest in peace my friend.

Yes, R.I.P., Doug. We'd been friends ever since he was a bright-eyed teenager dabbling in coins in Oregon -- some fifty years ago...
