You should post a pic, maybe you could get people turned on to it, personally I'd never even heard of it until now. It looked like a pretty nice coin, I definitely like the design, mintage of 1,000, definitely one I wouldn't mind in my collection. But for $299.00 (on ebay, couldn't find price elsewhere).... Idk... The 2011 &2013 are pretty nice too... !! Edit!* o my god I hate iPhones!! I had a photo of the gorilla coin, and it was up here... But when I just uploaded a photo of my future collector (my daughter) in another thread it changed this one too!! Apparently I can only upload one a day from my phone or it changes all of them to the most recently uploaded! So I guess I'll try to post it tomorrow... Sorry... Its my understanding, these are coming from a private mint. I did talk with one dealer on the phone regarding these and I did receive in his e-newsletter a pre-release offer for 225.00 and free shipping and ima inclined to get one especially since while I was away I didnt get a Rwanda gorilla :/ Plus, I dont have a single coin from Cameroon so ima like hmmmmm this is a good way to start the collection off. I also see they come in proof as well with a diffrent design. as I get more info about this coin I will share. :) Report this Post to the Staff

The 2011 is a gorilla and a baby and the 2013 is just a baby one. Ya $225.00 sounds better than the $299.00 on ebay! I'm wondering since these are from a private mint are they actually from Cameroon? Or there just something the mint made? I'd assume there just something the private mint did to recognize the gorillas in Cameroon... I hope the proceeds go to helping the gorillas there! Sorry about the photo... Stupid iPhone... Tomorrow I'll throw the pic of it up... Lol if I do now it will replace the pic of my daughter in the other thread with a gorilla... Might be a bit weird being that I'm talking about my daughter, people are gonna think I had a gorilla! Or a really hairy daughter! Report this Post to the Staff
