Does anyone know of a 38mm capsule that will accommodate the girth of the new Canadian 1.5oz polar bear silver coin? I have not been able to discover one yet. The search continues. Any insight would be appreciated. As of right now the 38mm and 39mm standard capsules hold and will close but does not close secure. CHEERS!

According to air-tites.com the X38mm ring type holder will close securely but not completely and is the best fit. There don't seem to be any direct fit holders that will work.

I hear ya. I'm glad I haven't started collecting any of the newer/unusual size/weight bullion pieces yet so mine pretty much all fit lol. Good luck on your hunt!

wait, the 1.5 ounce is still 38mm (the same as a maple) does that mean it's .5 times thicker?

I used a 42mm coin capsule and because of the thickness, used two 38mm foam inserts. I closed the capsule by adding a thin clear strip of tape along the side so it would not pop open.
A little bit of extra work but It worked and looks just great!
