Nice little pickup today-not the highest grade in the world but by no means common

A very tough date and yours is well above average. All those I have are very low grade. Look like a solid VF to me.

Yeh I was wondering if the band is better than it appears in that photo. There is quite a bit of detail missing on the shield and emu on the reverse and the star is a bit flat. It think it might just be weakness of stike but its hard to tell from the photo. If its wear then its enough to stop it grading in the EF range.

VF is OK as I made a low offer which the seller accepted so if it
grades higher then that's a bonus

Nice coin, I'd go right to gVF for this - very well struck up obverse for this issue (it's often very hard to make out the centre diamond at the gVF level).

Thanks Walter I like the sound of good VF because it means that it was more of bargain than I thought at first

Hi Stevo, nice one!

Is it just the pic or is there something going on around the top of the emu's standing leg. Looks like it extends around the right half below the emu. Almost looks like a lamination section. Could be just my eyes, one of them is just about had it, the other is fixed focus plastic! lol .... shouldn't complain at least I can see ....
