Some picks may be a little more obvious to you than others. It's been a good year writing for CoinWeek and PCGS. Hubert and I are going to take our best features from this year and rewrite them, add to them more details and research and put it together in a book called the Walker Morgan Numismatic Abstract. I'll talk about that more when it's ready. Also, if you are an Ike guy and haven't heard. I am co-writing the definitive Eisenhower dollar book which will add to what the Ike Group did with their Numismatic Literary Guild award winning Volume II. ... and if that wasn't enough, Hubert and I have another theoretical book on numismatics that we will publish in monthly installments starting later this month called The Rational Collector: A Fable of Theoretical Numismatics. *** What topics would you guys like to see Hubert and I take on? Which sacred cows to slay? Which coins have we overlooked. As always, I enjoy the dialogue and thanks for reading and supporting us.

Interesting article .. I too will be watching out for some of these coins. Not to be negative .. I am curious about this statement. Quote:

I took a poll back in 2011 and the general consensus was that SBAs were the least favorite. Just a thought, as I know that they will become more collectible in 30-50 years, as do all coins. but right now I don't think they're as popular. Which still means they could be cherry picked and sold to the few collectors, but personally I don;t think its worth the time.

I'm lucky... I'm young enough that I can buy now and hold small dollars until they are worth something... I have 50 years  I actually like SBA's! |

SBA's are beautiful! Don't know why rachum always chimes in and has to try to convince everyone they aren't popular & worthless of anyone's time. :( I guess I'll always be here to provide a counter-argument. :D I find more keepers than I do junk coins (meaning coins that are worth at least 2x face value) so it doesn't seem like too much of a waste of time. I've also found out that there are very serious SBA collectors out there that will pay a VERY high premium for SBA's in MS65+, especially if they have full talons! I haven't found a coin with a higher percentage of keepers (could be sold for an immediate profit) than I do with SBA's. Each to their own I guess, more for me! |

The top Susan B Anthony registry set sold for $65,000. So I guess I stand behind my suggestion.
