Just ordered this set for myself....Merry Christmas to me

Saw it in the Vancouver Boutique in July when I was in Vancouver on vacation. Watch is more impressive in person than the picture depicts on the Website.

Was tempted to purchase in July....good decision to hold off. Price in July was $495....now 25 % off.

Ordered the set on Tuesday, received notice that the set had shipped on Thursday. Looks like it will be under the tree for Christmas.

After all of the recent bad raps for the Mint on shipping and delays, this is surprising.

Not too surprised. If they have it in stock, the shipping is quick.

That said, its a nice looking birks watch.

As part of the fab 15 they say you get a silver maple leaf watch worth $99....I'm guessing this isn't the same watch? Any idea what it is? How many different maple leaf watchs does RCM carry?

This watch is much nicer than the f15 piece on junk.

Congratulations Tender!

I've been following this watch since it came out in 2011 and have it on my wish list, but even at 75% of the original price, I can't justify the price.

It's stainless steel with no PM. It is a Birk's watch with Swiss movement but Birk's also have one very similar (less the maple leaf face) on their website for less and I suspect a trip to a jewelry store would yield even better prices. Plus Birk's doesn't hold the same prestige that it once did IMO.

Too bad they didn't do a special privy or something like that rather than a regular 2011 SML. That might have tipped the scales.

But don't get me wrong, I still would like to own the watch; just need them to discount it even more .

For anyone interested in cheaper RCM watches, Sears.ca have about a dozen on their website. None are as nice as this one though.

This watch is limited to 1000. I don't know of any another birks watches like that.
Rest in Peace

I have both watches - this one, and the one from the 'silver F15 set'.
This one is far superior, in style, and feel. The other is not much of a 'serious' time piece watch, though, I saw one being offered on ebay for $900 - never saw it sold (or best offer price). The band on the F15 is nearly too small for me. I'm considering an upgrade when I finally get frustrated enough. I wear this watch daily.

I quite like the 'birks' one. It feels like a good solid time piece. Quite classy when out and about. I reserve wearing it for more 'special' occasions.

lol. Not really a selling point for me. I can't imagine telling anyone that I have a limited edition watch (or them caring).

I thought that was a cool selling point.
