VF-30. Lots of dark in the recesses so not sure this one was cleaned.

tx Indian, I agree with you...I've handled a decent amount of coins and I dont think this was cleaned...I'm obviously no expert but I just don't see how this was wiped, dipped or otherwise compromised

sorry for the shaky quality on the reverse, hey its an IPHONE!
anyhoo, here are pics not scans that I think show this coin has near original surfaces that if anything, were wiped with some water and a rag around 100 plus years ago...certainly not a modern day chemical/abrasive cleaning that would net a TPG details grade...IMHO at least...

I still vote original uncleaned. Photo put high lights on the surface making it appear cleaned. I'm sure in hand the coin has unmolested surfaces.

That's why it's tough selling coins on line, photos can make or break a sale. On MS coins every little mark looks far worse in the photo than in hand.

I've been busy with School and Dinner Parties.
My thoughts on this have been revised.

VF-35 Detail Damaged

Not cleaned.

I have seen cleaned coins that had dark spots in the recesses recently... Newfoundlanders always seem to clean while leaving dirt in the recesses... making me a bit jumpy as I barely caught that three coins were cleaned yesterday.
