I am going to be doing a little traveling and was wondering if there is a mint store at the Philadelphia mint and would carry the various stuff like is on their website?

Also, is there a site in Washington DC that would carry stuff also, and if so where at?

Thanks....................

Yeah, there is a nice store at the Philadelphia mint. I visited it this summer when I was on holidays. Unfortunately I couldn't get a tour of the mint as I had hoped because it was too close to the Fourth of July.

DC has two mint kiosks, ones at union station and the other isn't too far away near the verizon center I believe. The Phily mint should have a gift shop according to their website.

The Philadelphia mint has a gift shop. You got to do the tour! It is self guided but well worth it.
edit you do not have to do the tour to go to the shop I should have stated.

The Denver Mint is building a new stand-alone Gift Shop building. The Gift Shop has its own entrance, so you don't have to take the tour.

In Washington DC there is also the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) I like the tour they have and there is a gift shop. Not sure if the have coins, I know they have currency on sale. Like uncut sheets.

A Federal Reserve Money Museum is located about ten blocks north of the Denver Mint.

Thanks guys. I'm also intrigued by the BEP facility. I've looked at their web site but I think I'd like to see their facility before I get some "samples".

Further, those of who have been to either the Philadelphia or Denver mint, is their gift shop or store carry all of what the mint site has or is it shortchanged so to speak?

Two years ago went to the BEP and could not get in because all the tours were booked. You need to go early in the morning to get tickets for the next day I believe.
At Philadelphia you could buy some items not sure if all of their products.
