One of the learnings this year has been my progression away from even looking at the adjectives most sellers use and relying on my own judgement of the photos. It's been a pretty intense tear for me. I basically didn't even know what numismatic stood for last march as I started to put together a collection of dimes for a present for my brother.
At the beginning, I saw and read the adjectives and quite often took them as honest descriptions of the coins equal to my understanding of the adjective. Good, in the beginning, meant much better than what it really meant to a numismatic. My learning curve to this point, has proved costly.
I wonder what I would have thought if this coin came up as my first Two Cent Piece last March?
