I just received coins from a trade that I made with one of our fantastic Ancient collectors. I think these are awesome coins, first I don't have many B C coins, (Steve that's not British Columbia). .... Ptolemy as King (Pharaoh)... 305..BC.. AR..Tetradrachhm.. 23.4mm x very heavy coin..12.29g... . ... .. .. Dominion of Carthage.. C.400 -306..BC, the oldest coin I have.. .. .. Uncertain Italian mint.. Ob. Bust of Tanit left.. Rev. Horse galloping right.. 13 x 16mm x 3.44g..

Nice coins!
I don't have any Ptolemy coins yet, maybe in the future. Although, I just acquired a Carthage coin recently, and for a good price too!

You did well. I know your trading party is equally thrilled.
I'm drawn to the oldest of coins, so anything BCE gets my attention. The Ptolemy a nice coin. I'll bet it feels good to feel the heft in one's hand.

Thrilled is an understatement- I am into those OTHER empires and kingdoms. I think it was a fair trade. That coin does have "helf" ! I also feel like I should share my pictures Always proud of the pictures! (oh and some corrected weights...I am rather OCD about measurements. 11.17g 1.32g
