This interesting 1983-P KHD was found in a roll of Kennedy half dollars today..weight is 10.97 grams, shows some sort of clip-type damage on reverse, above STATES, and, opposing, @ DOLLAR..before I jump to any conclusions, I'll let the pics do the talking for now...my camera equipment sucks, I've done the best I can do for now...there does seem to be a clash-like appearance on the portion in DOLLAR,(past A in AMERICA, looks like an O, or a U, plus more) ..the rim is noticibly smaller on the opposing edges, above the damaged sections, I only have room for the major shot, at DOLLAR, the minor other side, on STATES, "dips" also, but less so than shown....interesting situation, if it is not PMD. Opinions welcomed Ty Cal G.
I agree that it's some type of post strike damage. A clip would result in the absense of a complete section of the coin, not just a layer on the reverse.
