I received a message very late last night about an item I sold a month ago.
The subject of the message was item I received is not as described.
The auction was for a 2010 steel penny from Olympic moments proof like set, magnetic in the description title of the listing was
"2010 Magnetic Canada one cent steel core mag mint sealed from proof like set " in the description page it says copper plated steel sticks to a magnet.
"Theres been a mistake. The description says magnetic but you didnt send me a magnetic one. What are we gonna do with that ?"
To witch I replied, " The coin in the listing and photos is steel. Just incase there is confusion it sticks to a magnet. Not the coin will stick to the fridge."
This was the first item not as described email I have received. I am hoping that this is the end of it.
As I am 100 percent positive I sent the correct coin I suspected some confusion about calling it a 2010 magnetic.
I immediately remembered reading on here about an ebay seller offering 2008 non magnetic pennies saying they do not stick to the fridge.
This is what I do at 4:00 in the morning before I start my day.

B$:)

It doesn't stick to the fridge? What goes through some people's heads?

I sold one fellow a "2006P Red Canadian Cent". It was a fresh-from-a-roll beauty. He negative feedbacked me without talking to me because it wasn't "red". I think he was expecting it to be coloured with enamel! I did straighten things out (by giving it to him for free) and he did reverse the feedback. But some people do make you wonder a bit!

Update.
After a few short emails I was able to confirm they got the right coin and are happy.
The buyer got the coin from me mixed up with another purchase.
I asked if it was still sealed in the plastic shown in the listing and that changed everything. Apologies for the mixup on their end.
Still a funny story to start out my day. The guy must think I am whacky for my first email reply.

Right now I'm picturing a fridge covered in pennies instead of kid's artwork.

I really hope this guy is just messing with you. Otherwise, this is deeply disturbing.
