Can you post links to the auctions? Right offhand, I would venture to say that those showing up raw and being in that condition would be a big NO.

Guess that answers the question. Most likely fake, they do look rather sketchy.

Must have been fake if the listing was removed.

The 1800 didn't seem to be a real variety, but the 1799, if fake, seemed to be a passable facsimile of B-15 BB-152. Were they both offered by the same seller, then?

OK, being able to see the pics directly, I have shifted to, welllll, they could well be real. If I were to go after either of those, I would do so ONLY with the agreement that the seller sends it directly to ANACS and gets payment on verification by them.

I'm just skeptical of purchasing such a coin from an ebay seller with under 150 feedback.

I am not seeing any obvious red flags. I am not an expert on die varieties but my guess is the 1799 matches BB-152 B-15 and the 1800 matches BB-188 B-8. The luster looks very unnatural and seems to resemble the kind caused by whizzing. Both coins look like they would have once graded EF before being messed around with.
I thought the named seem a bit familiar but had forgotten where I last saw it.

I agree....but something seems odd. looking at his ebay store, all his coins have a generic type description and all the photo's seem to good to be true...and all for $4. shipping? He has quite a few listed. check out his other items 1916-d dime...1885 v nick ect ect. too good to be true? hmmm, dunno here.
