Lot of good stuff, all unslabbed. I'm curious to see what the prices fetch.

Lots of bids, I don't remember seeing that many 'high' bids on coins as this is, like ie- 17 24 28 etc.

Long story short: Seller buys problem coins in slabs, cracks them and sells them raw represented as problem-free.

Thanks everyone. Didn't know this guy was already brought up. I'll put him on my block list for ebay sellers. No need to continue this thread :)

There is one other point that I believe deserves note. The seller has a 100% positive feedback ebay seller rating. I'm sure there are many who will enthusiastically and loudly rally to the defense of the seller and of the ebay seller rating system, but this rating just killed any level of confidence on my part in ebay seller ratings.

And, yes---I know---I do sometimes tend to catch on slowly...

Unslabbed key dates just scare me on ebay. Unless it's someone who has no other coins listed and it looks like they don't know what they actually have, then I might take a chance. This link from NGC shows a '16D merc that would fool me 7 days a week. So they're out there, and like Fat Freddy says, caveat emptor.

I haven't figured it out but there are several sellers whose items I don't ever want to bid on. Is there a way to block certain sellers so you don't ever see their items in searches? I know how to block buyers from bidding on my items, but can't figure out how to block out certain sellers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can do that as part of an Advanced Search - it's possible to switch the field where you specify the seller from "Include" to "Exclude," and put up to 10 sellers in there. That's the only way I know. At least, on ebay.

However, since Coin Community has an absolute wizard coding the site, you can also use our own custom ebay search tool:

http://www.coincommunity.com/ebay_coin_search/

That lets you do both Includes and Excludes, and allows 100 sellers each if you choose to use it.

ebay should really include some sort of filter system. I hate having to enter in sellers to exclude every time I search. thanks for the link Dave.

That Coin Community ebay search feature is looking better and better all the time. A longer search than ebay allows, the ability to exclude sellers which is difficult on ebay and you can exclude more of them, and the ability to find the BIN's. ebay no longer lets you sort for the BIN's
