I made a great score at the Pawn Shop today! I got off of work for the holidays at 11am and took my crew out to lunch. Then I decided to stop by my favorite Pawn Shop since I have not been in there in over a month. The owner said I have a bunch of stuff for you today, as I figured he would because people selling stuff for extra cash this time of year. I scored 4 Morgan/Peace dollars, 10 Barber/Standing liberty Quarters, 6 Halves (5 Walkers & 1 Colombian Expo), 23 Barber/Mercury Dimes, 1 Half Dime, two 3 Cent Nickels, and a bunch of nice looking Indian heads. I struck a deal at $275 for the lot. Only one problem, I didn't have the cash on me so I had to put them all on layaway until the 26th. I would have if I hadn't stopped at the bank and got the $200 in halves that they had there. Already been through those and found zero silver. I did however pull two NFIC halves out of the bunch, a 2007P and a 2011D. I can't wait til the day after Christmas to go drop off the leftovers from those halves and pick up the ones I put on layaway so I can really see what is in that batch.

I am seriously considering taking the leftover clad halves and asking him if he would take them as payment. He probably would. He had 20 Ikes in the can he keeps all the coin in that was taken in as payment. He just might try and sell those too. And around here, someone would buy them.

Well I took the halves up there and paid the layaway off and brought them home. They had no problem taking them as payment. I am in the middle of putting them into 2x2's right now.
